Hermitage is a slightly grained leather derived from selected hides from one of France's finest tanneries specialised in calfskin, located not far from the Hermitage red wine growing area in Ardèche. The aniline-finished grain acquires an attractive patina over time. Suppleness and a contemporary look are the chief characteristics of this subtly grained leather.
Shoe care guide for Hermitage leather
Clean with Heschung renovating milk or a slightly damp cloth. Ideally, use a Heschung cream of the same colour as the leather because too hard a wax or resin can alter the appearance of the grain. Apply the cream, leave for a while and then buff with a wool cloth.
